Riva Palafiere Concludes Mountain Tourism Fair Showcasing Garda & Daghestan

The Riva Palafiere closes today the International Mountain Tourism Fair. The exhibitors, who presented themselves this weekend at the Benacus event dedicated to tourism, number over 120, most of them (at least 80) from European countries (including Russia) and from Japan. The other exhibitors are Italian, with a notable presence from the Alto Garda area, composed of the «Riviera dei Limoni» Consortium, which groups hoteliers from Brescia’s Garda, and the Montane Community of Alto Garda Park, which includes municipalities stretching between Salò and Limone, including Valvestino and Magasa. Significant representations, therefore, which yesterday morning saw two of the most interesting realities on Brescia’s lakefront of Benaco: the «Alpe del Garda» Social Dairy in Tremosine, with twenty years of experience, producing butter, various cheeses, and dairy products, alongside the Tignale Olive Mill, which in recent years has been working olives for organic oil production. These are unparalleled experiences on the upper Brescia Garda and are providing satisfaction to those who have believed in these choices. Fabrizio Bontempi, Tourism Councillor of the Municipality of Tignale, is convinced of the opportunities of this presence because “participation is always useful and this initiative, although only in its second edition, could develop significantly. The two entities representing Western Garda offered tastings of oil and cheese. Promotional materials distributed came from the Montane Community of Alto Garda Park, along with videocassettes that focus on Garda and explain how the lake has an interesting hinterland, offering opportunities for sports such as mountain biking, trekking, and climbing.” The second edition of the Riva event features Russia as the guest country of honor. In the delegation from the Eastern country is Deputy Minister of Tourism, Alexander Sorokin, accompanied by tourism and trade officials, as well as the Vice-Governor of Daghestan. Tour operators, aiming to explore further collaboration opportunities with Italy, are also alongside the delegation. Supporting the event in the Altogardesana town is the collaboration with the International Mountain and Exploration Film Festival “Città di Trento” and other gastronomic initiatives always linked to mountain culture.
