Air Dolomiti Wins Bronze Award as Best Regional Airline 2001/02
It went to Brescia-based Air Dolomiti (whose president is Alcide Leali) the «Bronze Award Airline of the Year 2001/02», an award given annually by the ERA (European Regions Airline Association) to the European regional airline that has distinguished itself the most for service quality during the year. Air Dolomiti, which outperformed a selection of 79 European airlines, saw its efforts recognized during the awards ceremony in Athens, acknowledging the achievement of high-quality standards.
Reasons for the award
In particular, the jury’s motivations, composed of nine European aviation journalists, highlighted that Air Dolomiti was the only Italian regional airline to close the year 2000 with a profit. Other notable reasons included the best aircraft-to-annual flying hours ratio among all the candidates and the recent development of its network, implemented through the new jet fleet.
