Desenzano Hosts Conference on Lemon Groves as Cultural and Environmental Heritage
«Lemon Yellow Against Blue Sky and Water» is the title of the first conference (organizers hope that others will follow in the future), which will be held this morning (starting at 9 am) at the Tourism Palace, initiated by the Commissione Pari Opportunità and the Comune di Desenzano.
Speeches and Planned Initiatives
Numerous and qualified speakers—researchers, architects, institutional representatives, academics, and environmentalists—will discuss the need to protect lemon groves, proposing their designation as a national monument.
Furthermore, in the palace halls, there will be a photographic exhibition on the history of Garda lemon groves and an display of farming tools.
Environmental Project and Continuation of the Works
A lemon garden, created by Florbenaco, will be installed opposite the Porto Vecchio. The work will continue in the afternoon.
