Mountain Festival Honors Local Farms with Livestock Exhibition and Awards

A cowbell for the barn. This was the prize awarded on Sunday morning at the 26th edition of the Mountain Festival to the owners of the twenty-five farms present in Val di Monte. The Municipality, in collaboration with the livestock group and the Provincial Farmers Association, organized the annual exhibition dedicated to brown breed cattle. The event’s goal, which drew significant public interest, is to highlight an essential production sector for maintaining the mountain environment and to promote tourism in Monte Baldo.

Livestock Exhibition and Related Activities

The festival also featured an agricultural exhibition: nearly two hundred animals categorized among the approximately three hundred still present on farms in the Municipality of Alto Garda. In the afternoon, the main prize was drawn—a heifer registered in the genealogical registry—and there was a unique chainsaw competition.
