Giovanni Bernini Elected President of Assogardacamping in Verona
Change of Presidency at Assogardacamping
Change of guard at the helm of Assogardacamping, a federation affiliated with Faita Veneto that brings together owners of campgrounds and outdoor holiday complexes in the province of Verona. During the general assembly at Eurocongressi in Cavaion, Giovanni Bernini, owner of the Du Parc campground in Lazise, was elected by acclamation.
A return for Bernini, who previously led the association (which has 40 members out of a total of 60 campgrounds in the Veronese area) in the early 1990s. Bernini takes over from Marco Zaninelli, who concludes his three-year term focused on developing the company’s quality and environmental standards of outdoor accommodation facilities.
Focus on Environmental Protection and Projects
“The safeguarding and respect for the natural environment of the area for eco-friendly tourism has been our guiding principle. What has been achieved results from the collective effort of the association as a whole,” said Zaninelli, who is ready to recall the accomplishments under a “broad-ranging project approach born from the awareness that the qualification of tourism activities and structures on Lake Garda goes hand in hand with environmental protection.”
This attention has been fostered through “seminars, meetings, and in-depth forums involving the most important experts and institutional representatives in the international outdoor tourism scene.”
Executive Committee and Future Goals
Bernini confirmed his intention to continue along the path set by his predecessor and to especially promote synergies among the various associations and organizations operating in the tourism sector. In addition to the president, the nine members of the executive committee elected during the general assembly are Guido Gambini, Alberto Aldrighetti, Valter Righetto, Alberto Nicolis, Renato Poggiali, Rita Beltrami, Marco Zaninelli, Amelia Biondani, and Luigino Tessari.
