Nago Torbole Launches Reading Programs for Adults and Children

It is quite a busy schedule that the municipality of Nago Torbole, in collaboration with the Arcilettore di Brescia, has planned for the coming months as part of its literacy promotion efforts.

A series of meetings, dedicated to adults and children, will start tomorrow afternoon and run through March of next year. The initiative includes two distinct reading programs: the first, titled “The Taste of Reading”, will be reserved for adults, while the second, “Walking Through Fairytales”, will be aimed at young children.

All sessions will last about an hour, with the meetings for children beginning at 3:00 PM, and for adults at 8:30 PM. The events will be held at the Nago Senior Center (piazza Gazzoletti, former Eca house), the Torbole Senior Center (Parco ex Colonia Pavese), the Nago Library, and the Torbole Youth Center (former Pavese).

Invitation to Participate and First Date

“An invitation — from the municipal administration — extended to everyone, as these meetings are also aimed at those adults who are not avid readers, and at children who might turn up their noses at the mere idea of opening a book.”

The first session of the “Walking Through Fairytales” series is scheduled for tomorrow, at 3:00 PM, at the Nago Library, where the theme will be “The Ugly Duckling and Other Fairytales.” The children’s series will continue on November 23 at the Torbole Youth Center with “Fairytales from Around the World.”

For adults, the debut is set for Wednesday, November 14, at 8:30 PM, at the Nago Senior Center. The topic will be “The Sweetness of Words: Literary Journeys into Pastry.”

On November 28, at the Torbole Senior Center, a second evening will explore “Different Perspectives and Literary Paths at the Feminine.”
