Campi Bypass Construction Delayed as Land Expropriation Is Altered

The start of construction for the Campi bypass is not expected to happen very quickly: residents are used to waiting for years, so this news probably won’t come as a surprise.

The update comes from the provincial public works department, which has received a request from about fifteen residents affected by the expropriation of a strip of land downstream of the settlement for the new roadway alignment.

To reduce the area to be expropriated and to leave private land a flat strip between the future road and the slope downstream of the village, the project needs to be revised.

These are not major modifications, but the process still requires a few weeks before the execution phase can genuinely be considered underway.
