Brescia Wineries Featured in New Lombardy Wine Guide Promotion

Supported by the regional Minister of Agriculture, the Brescia-based Viviana Beccalossi, the “preview” of the Guide coincided in Milan with the Lombardy Wines Day.

This was the second edition of the promotional event organized by the Region in collaboration with Ascovilo and Ersal, which saw hundreds of operators tasting wines produced in our region.

As Minister Beccalossi recalled, in Lombardy, six provinces produce wine, while there are 14 Doc and 2 Docg with over 70 million bottles produced annually and a turnover that exceeds one billion euros.

Wine-producing reality and promotion

A quality reality which, the minister emphasized, “we try to showcase in every way, even to tourists, and we hope that the Guides will also give it greater consideration”.

Present at the tasting were also these Brescia-based companies (all prominently listed in the Guide): “Emilio Franzoni” from Botticino, “La Cascina Nuova” and “La Vigna” from Capriano del Colle, “Mestriner & Bolzoni” from Cellatica, “Barone Pizzini“, “Ca’ del Bosco“, “Cavalleri“, “Contadi Castaldi“, “Ferghettina“, “Monzio Compagnoni“, “Ricci Curbastro“, “Ronco Calino“, “Tenuta Castellino-Bonomi“, “Uberti“, and “Villa” for Franciacorta.

Additionally cited were: “Cascina la Pertica“, “Costaripa“, “Pasini Produttori“, “Le Gaine“, and “Morotti Daniela” for Garda; “Ca’ de Frati” and “Provenza” for Lugana; and “Spia d’Italia” for San Martino della Battaglia.
