Community Meeting on Christians and Muslims for Peace and Coexistence
A public meeting on the theme: “Christians and Muslims for a shared commitment to coexistence, peace, and justice,” will be held on Friday at 9:15 PM, at the former Senior Center in via Battisti.
Organized by nodo morenico of the Lilliput network, the ‘Elyaraa’ association for Islamic culture, ‘Arcidallò,’ and youth groups from the parish, the initiative is presented as one of the first steps along paths toward peace.
The organizing groups are convinced that wanting peace is not enough; it is necessary to work toward it, guided by one of the rules that Marianella Sclavi, anthropologist, has identified as the foundation of listening through her twenty years of study and research: “What you see depends on your point of view. To be able to see your point of view, you must change your point of view.”
