Riva’s Christmas Lights Shine Bright with City and Bank Sponsorship

Already last night, the lights were on to check that there were no issues. But it is today, as the first shadows fall over the Sant’Andrea fair, that the “Christmas light displays” officially take the stage, installed as usual by the Commercianti Association led by Franco Gamba.

This year, the light displays cover a larger area than usual of Riva’s historic and commercial center: the chosen illumination is strictly white, and the overall image appears decidedly chic. The expense (not insignificant), along with the merchants, was contributed to by the city’s main banking institutions, three of which also sponsored additional Christmas trees in Piazza Bensheim, at the intersection of Via Roma and Viale Dante, and in Piazza Erbe.
