Scammers Impersonating Carabinieri Target Garda Hoteliers and Business Owners

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the middle and upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to Law Enforcement magazines.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal police.

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be vigilant and immediately notify the real Carabinieri by dialing 112 as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by those who, after obtaining money, disappear.
