They pose as carabinieri when making telephone contact with hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the middle and upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

These individuals are not members of the military but are scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, firefighters, or municipal police.
