Garda Scammers Impersonate Police in Calls to Local Businesses

They are impersonating carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the middle and upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

They are not members of the armed forces, but rather scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire department, or municipal police.
