Scammers Pretending to Be Carabinieri Offer Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They pretend to be carabinieri when making phone contact with hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurant owners in the mid and upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to Arma magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal police.

They often offer subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the real carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
