Cigierre Rolls Out Inclusive Training for 4,500 Restaurant Professionals
Cigierre, through its World4All programme, is launching inclusive training for more than 4,500 professionals across the group’s restaurant network, focusing on how to welcome customers with disabilities. The initiative is designed to embed accessibility into day-to-day front-of-house work, covering everything from customer information to managing different needs in practice.
The course will be delivered via Cigierre Academy and will develop both operational and interpersonal skills for dining room staff, addressing not only physical spaces but also how information is communicated and how services are offered. World4All will provide Disability Managers and specialised instructors, using a methodology tailored to accessibility in public settings; according to Group HR Head Mario Perego, the goal is to equip teams with the tools to respond with competence and attention to each guest’s requirements.
The training will be rolled out across more than 340 Cigierre restaurants under brands including Old Wild West, Wiener Haus, Shi’s, America Graffiti, Smashie and Pizzikotto. The programme comes as Italy has around 13 million people living with disabilities, alongside growing accessibility needs linked to an ageing population, and positions accessible hospitality as a key factor in service quality.
