Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Target Garda Business Owners

They impersonate carabinieri when contacting hotel owners, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the middle and upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to Arma magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or local police.

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement agencies.

So be cautious and immediately notify the carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
