They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in Medio and Alto Garda, proposing magazine subscriptions related to the armed forces.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, police, fire brigade, or municipal officers.
