Garda Area Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Offer Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurant owners in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to army-related magazines.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, police, fire brigade, or municipal officers.

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the genuine Carabinieri – just dial 112 – as soon as you suspect being targeted by individuals who, after collecting the money, disappear.
