Fake Carabinieri Scammers Target Garda Businesses Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Medio and Alto Garda areas, offering subscriptions to magazines of the force.

These are not military personnel but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal police.

They often offer subscriptions to non-existent magazines or magazines unrelated to the law enforcement.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the real Carabinieri – simply dial 112 – as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who, after taking the money, disappear.
