These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to be part of the finance police, the police, firefighters, or municipal officers.

How to recognize scams and how to respond

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement forces.

Therefore, be vigilant and immediately notify the real Carabinieri – just dial 112 – as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who, after obtaining the money, disappear.
