Pretending to be Carabinieri, they contact hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in Middle and Upper Garda by phone, offering subscriptions to magazines of the force.
These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal police.
