Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda to Trick Locals

They pose as Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Medio and Alto Garda areas, offering subscriptions to magazines affiliated with the force.

They are not military personnel but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, general police, fire brigade, or municipal police.

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those with no connection to law enforcement agencies.
