They pretend to be Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering magazine subscriptions related to the force.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance authorities, the police, fire brigade, or city council.
