Scam Calls Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda Area, Authorities Warn

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda area, proposing subscriptions to magazines associated with the force.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, on different occasions, claim to belong to the financial police, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal police.
