Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Target Local Businesses in Garda

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Medio and Alto Garda regions, proposing subscriptions to magazines associated with the forces.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal police.

They often offer subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with the law enforcement.
