They impersonate Carabinieri to make phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, craftsmen, and restaurateurs in Medio and Alto Garda, proposing magazine subscriptions related to the force.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigade, or municipal officers.
