Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Target Garda Area Businesses

They pose as Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Medio and Alto Garda areas, offering subscriptions to magazines of the arm.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigade, or municipal police.

They often offer subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement.
