Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda Area for Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurant owners in the Medio and Alto Garda areas, offering magazine subscriptions from the army.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who occasionally claim to belong to the financial police, police, fire brigade, or municipal police.

Recognizing the scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement agencies.
