Scammers Impersonate Authorities to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They break into Carabinieri efforts by calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurant owners in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to army magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, fire brigade, or the municipality.

Recognizing scams

They often suggest subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement agencies.
