Scam Calls Pretending to Be Carabinieri Targeting Garda Business Owners

They make calls pretending to be Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurant owners in Medio and Alto Garda, offering magazine subscriptions from the army.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal police.

How to recognize scams

They often suggest subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with law enforcement forces.
