Scam Alert: Impostors Posing as Carabinieri in Garda Area

They break into phone contacts with hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda, offering subscriptions to magazines of the Carabinieri.

These are not military personnel, but impostors who, from time to time, claim to belong to the financial police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

Recognizing scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with the law enforcement.
