Fraudsters Impersonate Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They break into Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Medio and Alto Garda regions, offering subscriptions to magazines from the force.

These are not military personnel, but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or municipal police Vigili.

Recognizing the scams

They often offer subscriptions to non-existent magazines or publications that have nothing to do with law enforcement forces.

Therefore, stay alert and immediately notify the genuine Carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect being targeted by someone who,
