Scarmer Impersonate Carabinieri to Target Garda Businesses

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or the Comune guards.

Recognizing the scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with law enforcement.
