They impersonate Carabinieri when cold calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurant owners in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to arms magazines.

They are not military personnel, but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, police, firefighters, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.
