Scammers Impersonate Police to Sell Fake Magazines in Garda Region

Pretending to be Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in Medio and Alto Garda, proposing subscriptions to army magazines.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, each time, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or municipal police.

Recognizing scams

They often suggest subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement forces.
