Garda Area Scammers Impersonate Authorities to Sell Fake Magazines

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

These individuals are not soldiers, but scammers who, at different times, claim to belong to the finance department, police, fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

How to Recognize Scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or magazines unrelated to the authorities.
