Scammers Faking Carabinieri Offer Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They pose as Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to the rifle’s magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigade, or Municipal police.

How to Recognize Scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the genuine Carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by someone who,
