Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Target Garda Region Businesses

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda regions, offering subscriptions to the force‘s magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, police, fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize scams
