Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri Across Garda, Promoting Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in Middle and Upper Garda, proposing subscriptions to army magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize scams

They often suggest subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement.

Therefore, be vigilant and immediately notify the real Carabinieri – just dial 112 – as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by someone who,
