Scammers Impersonate Police to Promote Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Middle and Upper Garda, offering subscriptions to arm-related magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize frauds

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those with no connection to law enforcement agencies.

So, be vigilant and immediately notify the true Carabinieri – just dial 112 – as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
