Scammers Pose as Police in Garda Area to Steal Subscriptions

They pose as Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Medio and Alto Garda areas, proposing subscriptions to the army‘s magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those that have nothing to do with the law enforcement.
