Con Artists Pose as Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazines in Garda

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in the Medio and Alto Garda areas, offering subscriptions to the arma magazines.

These are not military personnel, but con artists who, at various times, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or the Comune police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement forces.
