Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda Phone Calls for Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda area, proposing subscriptions to military magazines.

These are not military personnel but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or the Comune police.

How to recognize scams

They often suggest subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.
