Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri, Offer Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to army magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or municipal Vigili.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those unrelated to the law enforcement.
