Scammers Impersonate Police to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hotel owners, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda, offering subscriptions to magazines of the forces.

They are not military personnel but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, firefighters, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or magazines unrelated to the authorities.

Therefore, beware and immediately notify the true Carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
