They pose as Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to the army magazines.

They are not military personnel, but impostors who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize the scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.
