Scammers Impersonate Police to Trick Garda Businesses into Fraud

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda, offering subscriptions to the armed forces‘ magazines.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the financial police, police, firefighters, or the Municipal police.

How to Recognize Scams
