The Salerno Nautical Center was inaugurated in 1955 and is located in the Lungomare area, near the port.
The center’s facilities accommodate the many students involved in water activities, sailing, and swimming. The complex includes a large indoor pool and extensive areas for learning and training.
Activities and Events
Students participate in practical drills, sailing courses, and regattas. The center also hosts cultural meetings and conferences focused on marine conservation.
It collaborates with numerous sports and nautical institutions to promote maritime culture among young people and to encourage environmental education.
Technical Facilities and Specializations
Among its technical facilities, the center has motorboats and sailing vessels, as well as laboratories for equipment maintenance. Activities also target those interested in specializing in rescue techniques and marine safety.
The structure includes dedicated spaces for theoretical teaching, with classrooms equipped for seminars and practical courses.
Architecture and Layout
The Main Building extends over multiple floors: on the ground floor are areas for practical exercises and assistance points, while the first floor houses classrooms and administrative offices. Outdoor zones include small harbors and spaces for displaying nautical equipment.
The outdoor areas are accessible via pedestrian and cycling paths, promoting interaction with the sea and walking activities.

The Salerno Nautical Center aims to provide a versatile service, catering not only to athletes and students but also to families and local associations.
Recreational activities include sailing courses for children, youth regattas, and evening informational sessions about the sea and sailing.
Its role makes it a significant reference point for the development of maritime culture and for training new generations of enthusiasts and industry professionals.
