Lombardy Allocates 63 Million Euros to Boost Local Business Districts
Lombardy Region has allocated €63 million to support local commerce through the Distretti del Commercio initiative, targeting projects by municipalities, mountain communities, and unions in partnership with trade associations. The program aims to revitalize local economies and small businesses via regeneration, shared services, governance, and territorial promotion, with a designated Manager of the District.
Funding covers 50% of project costs, with grants up to €520,000 for high-impact projects and €189,900 for standard initiatives, requiring minimum investments of €300,000. The scheme also includes a regional call for business funding, additional points for inter-district and safety projects, and encourages municipalities to allocate local resources to support businesses, in collaboration with ANCI Lombardia and trade associations.
