Calva Run Trail Launches in Calvagese della Riviera Without Maestri and Bottarelli

The fourth edition of the Calva Run Trail is set to take place in Calvagese della Riviera on March 29, featuring a 15 km off-road course with 200 meters of elevation gain. The event, part of the Fidal calendar, will not include defending champions Cesare Maestri and Sara Bottarelli; Bottarelli has nominated brothers Davide and Andrea as top contenders. Notable participants include Enrico Vecchi and Moroccan Mohamed Zouioula, with expectations of higher turnout due to the race also serving as the provincial Master titles race.

Registration remains open at €20, which includes a long-sleeve Diadora shirt. Bib and race pack pickup is scheduled for Saturday from 16:00 to 18:00 and Sunday from 8:00 to 9:00 at the Centro Sportivo Mocasina, with the race starting at 9:30. Prizes will be awarded to the top five men, top three women, and top three in each category. The course was designed by former marathoner Osvaldo Faustini, with course records held by Vecchi (48:43 in 2023) and Bottarelli (57:31).
